Clothing and apparel is one of the oldest and most basic occupations of human beings, with a rich and varied past. Clothing forms a crucial part of our identity and culture. The apparel and fashion industry is highly competitive and challenging.
Where do students from Apparel Design work?
Graduates of Apparel Design work with large fashion houses and retail departments in several areas of clothing including ready-to-wear, high fashion, costume design, and functional wear. Several graduates set up their own design and production units and have their own line of clothing or accessories.
Eligibility for M.Des.
Degree in Design (Textiles/Fashion/Accessory/Knitwear/Interior), Engineering, Technology, Fine Arts or Architecture, OR Diploma in Handloom Technology/Textile Technology (under 10+2+3yr/4yr)
Salary for a fresher - 1.5-7.5 lakhs per annum
